Amanda went to Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio where she received a B.S. in Environmental Biology. After college, she began work at the University of Michigan at the Adult Blood Gas Lab. A year later she was promoted to Pulmonary Function Technologist and worked in the university’s Pulmonary Function Testing Lab. During her work there, she obtained certification and registration in pulmonary function testing, and was responsible for training the majority of new staff. She was also involved in several research studies where she would perform lung function testing per each study protocol. This interested her in the field of research. Amanda joined the team in 2015 and is the Clinical Subjects Coordinator for the NEPTUNE and CureGN studies. Her primary responsibilities with the team includes recruiting new patients and performing follow-up visits. She also works on the NEPTUNE Recruitment and Retention Committee.
