Therese joined the Kretzler lab in March 2017. She grew up in Sandusky, Ohio and lived in Holland, Michigan before moving to Ann Arbor.
She worked at her parents’ pizza place and fabric shops before deciding to return to college to complete a degree in Biology at GVSU in 2002, followed by attaining a PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Michigan in 2007.
Therese is married with three adult, married daughters and a grandson and granddaughter. Her oldest daughter and her husband live in North Carolina. Her middle daughter, her husband, son, and daughter live in Ohio. Her youngest daughter and her husband live in Australia.
In her free time, Therese enjoys traveling to visit family and seeing the world, sewing, knitting, hiking, photography, and she is a competitive powerlifter.
